About us

What is Canberra Medicare Mental Health Centre?

The Canberra Medicare Mental Health Centre Centre is a free, commonwealth funded service that is available to all those who live, work, or play within the ACT. The Centre provides both telephone-based and face-to-face support. We can provide individuals with a standardised intake assessment to thoroughly understand your circumstances and needs, then help connect you to the best resources and services to meet your needs.

The Canberra Medicare Mental Health Centre Centre is staffed by a local organisation, Think Mental Health’s multidisciplinary team of psychologists, mental health assistants, nurses, occupational therapists, and social workers, along with psychiatry input.

Medicare Mental Health Canberra is part of the nation-wide Medicare Mental Health program and this service is supported by funding from the ACT PHN through the Australian Government’s PHN Program.
